My group and I have created a presentation on the country Malta. Prezi is a website that you can create a slideshow to present. Some of the features are you can type what you want and put a photo or video. Also, you can put different bubbles if you have a lot of information so it's not all clustered and you are able to use icons. Prezi compares to google slides. The similarities are you can make a slide show and all the same fonts along with being able to add photos and videos. The differences are google slides is easier to use and on Prezi you can add icons and different bubbles for different information where as on google slides you have to create a whole new slide. I might use Perzi in the future if I have to create a presentation and present it or create a project.

Today in class I was asked to write down the definitions of some words. Such as intellectual property, attribution, copyright, fair use, and public domain. Then, we had to watch videos and answer questions based on the video. We had to watch "Copyright and Fair Use", "Respecting Intellectual Property Rights", and "Copyright Basics". After that, I had to read an article called "Public Domain Frequently Asked Questions" and answer one question about it. I learned about what a copyright and fair use is. I've heard of them, but never truly knew what they were. I found it interesting on what were copyrights and what weren't. I could use this in my future by know what these words mean. Also, I would know to ask someone for their permission before I use their picture, article, or video. This is what I was asked to do today in class, what I learned, and how I can use it in my future.
In class today, we were asked to record our voices as we talked about the 5 tips on how to be a good digital citizen and to be good on social media. I was very interested on learning how to record our voices. We had to do the project a few times, but it was something new that we tried. I was also interested on how could you pause and play so you had a break in between each slide even though we didn't do that. We did not have any difficulty with anything other than recording it perfectly the first few times. I can use what I learned in the future if I have to record my voice and do slides for a project. This is what we were asked to do in class, what was interesting that I learned, and how I can use this in the future.
Today our task was to complete our slides on 5 tips for teens on social media. We fixed what we needed to on our slides and check what the teacher commented. Then, we added transitions from one slide to another and borders around our pictures. We also learned how to us Noodle Tool and how to do work cited on that website. I can use what I learned in the future if I have to do a slide show and a work cited page. I know all of the rules on how to make a slide and how to create a work cited page. I found the Noodle Tool to be the most difficult thing today because we have to do multiple steps before you can get to actually creating the work cited information. Other than that, I understood everything we had to do today and we completed the task.
On our project we were asked to come up with five tips of how to be safe on the internet. Then, we had to connect ideas and details to the five main points. You use Popplet by double clicking on the screen that you have opened to make something on and a box will pop up for you to type. You type what you want and click outside of the box so then the text box has been added. I learned new tips on how to be safe on the internet and what to look out for. I also learned how to create a good presentation like have good fonts, colors, pictures, etc. This is what I learned and what I did from the presentations and the website Popplet.
In class today, we were asked to read about two students and see who we would be the better candidate. We had to go through their profiles and social media and find positives and negatives about them and their lifestyle. Then, we had to create a chart for both of them. One side was "what information about the student online makes him an appealing candidate" and the other side was "what information about the student online makes you question whether he should be admitted?"
I learned a few new things when I did this assignment. One thing that was interesting was you don't realize that anybody can look at your profiles, even your colleges. Also, it matters what you post because one little thing and the college that is looking at you can completely shut them down. I can used what I learned in my future with watching what I post because anyone can see it. Always be smart on the internet and on you social media because any little thing you post could make a big difference. In class today we had to complete the Social Media and Your Future playlist. We had to take notes on two vocabulary words which were digital citizenship and digital footprint. Then we had to watch the "What's in your Digital Footprint?" After that we watched the "Pride in Your Digital Footprint." We read two articles about hoe social media can affect your college and job search. We had to fill out a chart about how social media can help and hurt your college/job research.
In class today, I learned many things. One was how social media can help and hurt your college/job research. Another one was what to post on your social media and what not to post. Finally, I learned what digital citizenship and digital footprint were. I can use what I learned today in my future with what I post on social media. I will not post things that I wouldn't want my family and teachers to see. 1.) Domain-the set of all x-values (inputs) Range-the set of all y-values (outputs) 2.) How do you calculate the y-intercept on the graphing calculator? -reset your calculator by hitting 2nd + 7 1 2 in that order -hit trace and type 0 -hit 2nd trace, chose option 2:zero -move your cursor to the left of the x-intercept and hit enter -then move you cursor to the right of the x-intercept and hit enter -move your cursor on the x-intercept and hit enter 3.) How do you calculate the x-intercept on the graphing calculator? -reset your calculator by hitting 2nd + 7 1 2 in that order -hit trace and type 0 -hit 2nd trace, chose option 2:zero -move your cursor to the left of the y-intercept and hit enter -then move you cursor to the right of the y-intercept and hit enter -move your cursor on the y-intercept and hit enter 4.) How do you calculate minimums and maximums on the graphing calculator? Maximums -hit 2nd trace, option 4:maximum -then move your cursor left of the turning point and hit enter -move your cursor right of the turning point and hit enter, the enter again Minimums -hit 2nd trace, option 3:minimum -then move your cursor left of the turning point and hit enter -move your cursor right of the turning point and hit enter, the enter again 5.) How do you calculate an intersection of two functions? -reset your calculator by hitting 2nd + 7 1 2 -type in Y1 and Y2 -hit graph and estimate the coordinates of where the two lines intersect -hit 2nd trace and chose option 5:intersect -then hit enter on the first curve, enter on the second curve, move your cursor close to the intersection point and hit enter one last time 6.) How do you view the table of a function? -hit 2nd graph 7.) How do you view a split screen of the table and graph of a function? -type in your equation -hit mode -scroll down to where it says mode, then arrow over to graph-table and hit enter on it -hit graph -hit trace -hit 2nd graph 8.) The mistake I made a lot was when I typed in the equation on the lank screen, so now on I will hit Y= before I type it in. |
